Truthset Hires Experienced Ad-Tech Marketer McKenna Sweazey as Vice President of Marketing
Truthset Hires Media and Ad-Tech marketer McKenna Sweazey. As VP of Marketing, Sweazey will help accelerate the company’s mission to evangelize the need for data accuracy and bring the first independent measurement standard for record-level consumer data quality to marketers, agencies, and publishers.
Truthset, the first company to measure the accuracy of record-level consumer data, today announces the appointment of McKenna Sweazey to its executive team as Vice President of Marketing. Sweazey most recently served as Head of Marketing at The Financial Times, having previously spent five years at Taboola, the content discovery platform. Sweazey will lead brand development and lead generation to further capitalize on the increasing demand for Truthset as the source of data measurement across the industry.
Sweazey is the latest addition to Truthset coming from the media industry, as agencies, marketers, publishers and platforms have sought out a solution to inefficiencies in the data marketplace.
In today’s data-driven marketing landscape, Truthset recognized that targeting is broken because there’s no way for a data buyer to ensure the data they are activating is accurate. Basic attributes like male vs female are wrong up to 50% of the time, according to Truthset’s analysis. Truthset has set out to create a new industry standard for scoring 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party data. Their proprietary Truthscore™ process helps clients put the best data to work and enables marketers to Analyze, Improve and Measure the accuracy of their audiences, eliminating wasted spend upfront while driving higher marketing performance. The company has experienced growing demand among leading marketers and publishers and is now expanding its services to a broader range of customers in the data ecosystem.
McKenna Sweazey commented on joining Truthset, “As a marketer, I know how important data is to building a successful campaign, but I didn’t realize how blind I was to this problem with accuracy. I want to make sure all the marketers in the industry now understand that there’s a huge opportunity to do better and ensure they have access to accurate data via Truthset.”
Scott McKinley, CEO of Truthset, noted, “McKenna is a timely hire for Truthset. The advertising ecosystem needs to know that there is a huge cost when consumer data is wrong. Truthset is the first solution to address the problem of data accuracy and McKenna’s experience marketing to advertisers and media entities makes her a perfect strategic fit for Truthset as we evangelize this new industry standard.”
